Description	:	Virginia M. Bornholtz, 90, of Sioux City died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at a local nursing home. Services will be noon Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Virginia was born on May 2, 1923, at Casper, Wyo., the daughter of Albert R. and Paulowenia (Heavin) Boyer. She attended McKinley Grade School and graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper in 1941. Virginia began her career with Mountain States Telephone in Casper as an operator and 40 years later in Sioux City, she retired as secretary to the district manager of Northwestern Bell. She was married in 1945 to William Mac Millan. They later divorced, but from this union one child, Robert Dale Mac Millan was born. Virginia later married George P. Bornholtz in Casper, and returned with him to Sioux City and made a home with George and Dale (Robert Dale Mac Millan). She went to work for Northwestern Bell and continued there until her retirement. Virginia was a member of Rebecca of Odd Fellows Lodge, the Telephone Pioneers, the Abu Bekr Shrine Kan-Duettes and the May Birthday Club. When living on the northside of Sioux City, she attended and was a member of First United Methodist Church. After she moved to Morningside, she joined Rustin Avenue First United Methodist Church and was a member there for more than 20 years. Left to mourn her passing are her two grandsons, John and Jeff and three great-grandsons, Zachary, Ethan and Peyton. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; and her beloved son, Robert Dale Mac Millan. The family and caregivers wish to thank the management and staff of Countryside for making Virginia's past seven years as pleasurable as possible and a sincere thanks to Hospice of Siouxland for their kindness extended to make Virginia as comfortable as possible.
