George was born on the home farm March 28, 1931, and lived on the home place all his life. He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy with the class of 1949 and farmed with his father, taking over the operation of the farm in 1957.... He married Elenora Klein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Klein of Hospers at St. Anthony’s Church in Hospers November 18, 1958. Survivors include his wife Elenora, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George and Barbara (Engeldinger) Jungers Sr. of Alton, three sisters and two brothers, namely Florence, Mrs. R.E. Muth of Iowa City; Bernice, Mrs. Leo D. Goergen of Granville; Bernard of Hospers; Herbert of Des Moines; Adella, Mrs. Merlyn Niichel of Fulda, Minnesota. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church and of the Granville Council of the Knights of Columbus and had many warm friends who deeply regret his early passing. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Mary’s Church with interment in the parish cemetery.
