He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna L. Kemp; three sons, E. B., B. L., and C. K. Kemp, all of North, Va.; one brother, W. F. Kemp, of Soles, Va., and eleven grandchildren. Mr. Kemp was well known and a highly respected citizen of his county. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church for many years, and a member of Omaha Tribe, No. 92, of North, Va. Funeral services were conducted at the home of his son, E. B. Kemp, Friday at 2 p.m. conducted by his pastor, Rev. G. B. Baldwin. Interment was made in Locust Grove Cemetery, where the Redmen held their services. The quartet sang "Til We Meet Again." The active pallbearers were chosen from the Lodge as follows: Fred Boyd, Wade Haynes, Floyd Bailey, Wattie Foster, R. L. Mickelborough. Honorary were: Tommie Dunston, Johnny Dunston, Frank Dunston, and Charlie Daniel. The funeral was largely attended. Among those coming from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Dunston, Mr. and Mrs. William Dunston, Frank Dunston, Miss Lillie Dunston, Miss Maude Dunston, all from New Upton; Johnnie Dunston and Calvin Dunston from Newport News; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Bailey, of Nuttall, and Mr. and Mrs. Kirney Davies, of Blakes.
