Description	:	The death of George Swartz occurred at his home five miles north of Grafton Friday afternoon. Mr. Swartz had been ill for many months. He was, however, able to be about a great part of this time. His many friends learned of his death with much regret. George W. Swartz was born in Paris, Brant County, Ontario, Canada, November 9, 1842, and died December 28, 1917. He lived at Paris, with his parents until 1864, when he moved to Livingston County, Illinois, where he made his home for nineteen years. He came to Nebraska and to the home... He was, however, able to be about a great part of this time. His many friends learned of his death with much regret. George W. Swartz was born in Paris, Brant County, Ontario, Canada, November 9, 1842, and died December 28, 1917. He lived at Paris, with his parents until 1864, when he moved to Livingston County, Illinois, where he made his home for nineteen years. He came to Nebraska and to the home where he died in 1883. By his industrious efforts, Mr. Swartz established a good home, and surrounded himself and family with many comforts. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Rook March 27, 1872. To this union were born the following children: Emma, wife of L. A. Frederick; William, who still remains at home; Harvey, who married Miss Bessie Mart; Clara, wife of Cleveland King, and Olive, wife of Ernest Souba. He leaves, besides his wife and five children, eight grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Abbie Payne of Canada, and two brothers, J. A. Swartz of Lexington and Lemuel Swartz of Omaha. Mr. Swartz will be greatly missed by his bereaved relatives and a large circle of friends. Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church in Grafton, Monday afternoon.
