Born on Aug. 11, 1930, in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Earl Joseph Kelly and Elizabeth Marie (Foot) Kelly. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Norma Jean "Corkey" Kelly, who died Dec. 27, 2003. Also one brother, Thomas Kelly. Surviving is one daughter, Jane Ann McAlpine and husband Alex, Lonaconing; one son, Kevin M. Kelly and wife Chris, Georgia; one sister, Sally Stillwagon and husband John, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one brother, Earl Kelly and wife Eleanor, Jacksonville, Fla.; one special sister-in-law, Rhea Ann Muir, Lonaconing; five grandchildren, Alexa Raines and husband Brian, George Brian McAlpine and wife Teri, Beth Wade, Shannon Kelly, and Jordan Kelly; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Raines, Jayna Raines, Loren McAlpine, and Nikki Wade; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Kelly was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing, and a 50 year member of Good Will Volunteer Fire Co., Lonaconing, and a 25 year member of George's Creek Ambulance Service. He was also a member of the Westernport American Legion Post 155. He was a former employee of Westvaco, Luke. He was also a Navy veteran. Services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Mortimore and also the Rev. Harry Coleman officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.
