Description	:	The funeral service of the late George Truman Borton was held in Christ's Lutheran Church on Monday at 2:30 p.m., and the remains placed in the Greenwood Mausoleum. The service was in charge of Dr. C.N. Swihart. Mr. Burton was born December 5, 1850, in Zanesville, Ohio, and departed this life on November 14, 1929, in the Missouri Pacific Hospital located in St. Louis. Severals years after his wife's death, Mr. Borton came to Kansas, locating first at Pratt and then removing to Eureka, where he lived until his death. Mr. Borton and Evaline Rush were married in Eureka, June 2, 1890. One son, George Neet, was born to this union who remains to mourn the loss of a kind father. He also leaves two sisters, Dora and Mrs. A,W. Jackson, of Cambridge, Ohio. Mrs. Borton died in Bloomington, Indiana ten years ago. Mr. Borton was taken sick two weeks before his death and taken to the hospital in St. Louis where the end came quietly last Thursday morning. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church since 1921. He was a most kind and conscientious friend and neighbor, always doing unto others as he would be done by, and attending strictly to his business. He was with the Missouri Pacific Railroad for twenty-six years and was a most faithful servant to the company. He leaves a host of friends in the railroad service to mourn his loss.
