Description	:	Faithful to The Last. A very sad death occurred at Mt. Pleasant church, a few miles northeast of Clarence last Sunday evening during prayer meeting. Prayers were offered, the usual songs were sung, and several made brief talks, among whom was Mr. George Barr. His remarks were very impressive. He said that during the past two years his two brothers had passed to their homes above, and that it was his great desire to join them when it was God's pleasure to call him. Pleasant church, a few miles northeast of Clarence last Sunday evening during prayer meeting. Prayers were offered, the usual songs were sung, and several made brief talks, among whom was Mr. George Barr. His remarks were very impressive. He said that during the past two years his two brothers had passed to their homes above, and that it was his great desire to join them when it was God's pleasure to call him. At the close of his remarks the congregation began singing "Jerusalem My Happy Home." At the close of the first stanza, Mr. Barr, who had been sitting with bowed head, looked up, and with uplifted hand, exclaimed "Thank God, I'll soon be there." With those words he pitched forward and instantly expired. His funeral was conducted yesterday by Rev. Pritchett and the remains laid to rest at Bacon Chapel. The deceased had returned with his wife, the day previous, from Oklahoma where they had lived for five years. Besides the wife and six children, other relatives and friends mourn his loss.
