He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On October 9, 1920, he was united in marriage with Elfrieda Hoops. They engaged in farming through the years in this vicinity. Mr. Erdmann passed away early on the morning of Oct. 9, at his home, at the age of 60 years and one month. Survivors are his wife; two children, Phyllis and Robert, at home, and one granddaughter, Rebecca; also two brothers, Earl of Verdon and Roy of Benkelman, Nebr., and three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Alma) Wage, Ferney; Mrs. Charles (Ramona) Nehls, Selah, Wash., and Mrs. Clarence (Flora) Sombke, Verdon. Relatives from away attending the last rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Erdmann, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dickerson and Shirley, Mrs. Phil Blando and Patty, all of Aberdeen; Mrs. James Wilcox, Webster; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Richardt, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Richardt and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Christofferson, all of Summit. The departed was a devoted husband and father, a kind and thoughtful friend and neighbor. His friendly ways gained for him the respect of a host of friends, who extend heartfelt sympathy to the family in the loss of their loved one.
