Description	:	George Gee, Sr., passed away at his home in this city Monday evening shortly after seven o'clock. He had been ill for several weeks, during practically all of which time his condition was serious. For a time he seemed to gain, but for the past few days he gradually weakened until the end came. He had been ill for several weeks, during practically all of which time his condition was serious. For a time he seemed to gain, but for the past few days he gradually weakened until the end came. George William Gee was born August 18, 1846, at Welney, Cambridgeshire, England. He came to America in the spring of 1871, locating in Wisconsin. In September, 1873, he was married to Adaline L. Carter at Appleton, Wisconsin. They came to Boone County in July, 1884, and have resided here ever since. For the past nineteen years they have resided in Albion, where he was engaged up to a few years ago in the barber business. Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Gee, eight of whom are still living. They are James A. and George W., Albion; Mrs. P. A. Martin, Newman Grove; John H., Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mrs. M. C. Breedlove, Richvale, Calif.; Mrs. Chas. Duncan, Manilla, P. I.; and Agnes and Sara, who are at home. These, with the wife and companion, remain to mourn the loss of a father and husband. Mr. Gee was a man who made friends wherever he went by his pleasant and social disposition, and during his long residence here he gathered about him a host of friends who regret that he must needs be called away. The funeral is to be held this (Thursday) morning from the Methodist church at 10 o'clock. (Albion Weekly News, Albion, Nebraska, Thursday, June 29, 1911)
