McClure of Monmouth, and Jas. McClure of Kanzo, Colo. All were present at the funeral except James, who could not be reached. It has been the writer's privilege to have known our departed and aged father in Israel for the past fifty-three years, and I must say that he was one of the most quiet and lovable old fathers that I ever knew. He was always glad to meet his friends. The Lord was good to father McClure, having permitted him to remain with and among his earthly friends far beyond the allotted three score and ten years. He believed that there was a higher beam than on earth. He's gone to the God who gave him being, and to be with her he loved so well. Funeral services were held at the home near Cherokee on Wednesday, at 11 o'clock, and interment made in the Cherokee cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by W.C. Paden, pastor of the Presbyterian church of Cherokee.
