Description	:	George Yurian Jan 29, 2003 George Yurian, 88, of Billings, formerly of Laurel, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003. George, son of Andrew and Regina Yurian, was born June 8, 1914, in Lefor, N.D. The family moved to the Fromberg-Edgar area when George was five. He was educated at Edgar School. In 1928 he moved to the Park City area. George married Pauline Heiser April 19, 1936, and the marriage lasted 62 years until her death on Jan. 26, 1998. George farmed on Lockwood Flat for nine years. George, son of Andrew and Regina Yurian, was born June 8, 1914, in Lefor, N.D. The family moved to the Fromberg-Edgar area when George was five. He was educated at Edgar School. In 1928 he moved to the Park City area. George married Pauline Heiser April 19, 1936, and the marriage lasted 62 years until her death on Jan. 26, 1998. George farmed on Lockwood Flat for nine years. He worked at the Great Western Sugar Factory for 30 years during the campaigns. He bought a farm at Park City in 1945 and was on the school board for 16 years. George belonged to the Farmers Union and the Rod & Gun Club. He loved sports, hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He sold the farm, retired in 1976 and moved to Laurel. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; his daughter, Beverly Lennick; his infant son, Merle; son-in-law, John Anderson, and brothers Joe, Andrew and Nick. Survivors include his daughters, Marlene Anderson and Carole Yurian; son-in-law, Floyd Lennick; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Kappel and Mary Wagner, and three brothers, John, Frank and Bill Yurian. Private family services will be held Friday. Interment is at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Laurel Senior Citizens Center or to the charity of choice.
