She was reared and educated in Lucas County. She attended the Wren Hill Church and was the organist for a number of years. Georgia was united in marriage with George C. Evans on March 14, 1909 at the home of her parents by Rev. Andy Dorrell. They made their home in Lucas and Clarke counties on a farm and were privileged to enjoy fifty-five years together. After the death of her husband she moved to Osceola where she resided for the last ten years. She enjoyed the quilting circle at the United Methodist Church, attending twice a week as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and three brothers and her husband. She is survived by one sister in law, Bernice Holt of Lucas, Iowa and by several nieces and nephews. Memorial service were held Friday, October 25, 1974 at 2:00 p.m. in the Webster-Kale Funeral Home with the Reverend Ivan C. Bys, United Methodist Pastor officiating. Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, Iowa. Contributor: Ken Baker
