Description	:	The Guthrian 16 May 1946 Auto accidents took the stage in Guthrie county Sunday and the fourth fatality in the county this year was chalked up. There were three wrecks and they centered in an area within a radius of two miles of Guthrie Center. Mrs. Harmon Brady, 57, was killed in the first accident of the afternoon when the car in which she was riding was smashed into head on two miles east of Guthrie Center on Highway 64. Mrs. Harmon Brady, 57, was killed in the first accident of the afternoon when the car in which she was riding was smashed into head on two miles east of Guthrie Center on Highway 64. Her daughter, Neva Brady, 18, was driving the car. Two youths from Red Oak, Earl McQuown and William Wood, were in the other car. Neither McQuown, the driver, nor Wood was injured but Miss Brady suffered a broken hand. Mrs. Brady was cut about the head and bled to death before a doctor could be summoned. According to McQuown and Wood, they thought the Brady car was going to turn into the Pickett driveway and in order to miss the Bradys they turned to the left. Instead, they crashed into the Brady car on the south side of the pavement when the Bradys pulled back to their own side of the road. Sheriff Clark Kindred and Coroner H.H. Hill investigated the accident and report that no inquest will be held and no charges will be filed. McQuown set his brakes and the marks on the pavement where he slid his wheels were visible long after the accident. Services for Mrs. Brady were held Wednesday afternoon from the Guthrian Center Christian church. ~ d/o William Richard Passmore and Catherine Minerva Passmore (born Slater).
