Description	:	Funeral services were held Monday for Georgia Braaten, 44, who died at her home in Big Timber Jan. 30, following an illness of several months. Mrs. Braaten was born Aug. 3, 1931 in Big Timber, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thorvald Aalgaard. She attended Big Timber grade school and Sweet Grass County High. Mrs. Braaten was born Aug. 3, 1931 in Big Timber, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thorvald Aalgaard. She attended Big Timber grade school and Sweet Grass County High. She worked in various stores in Big Timber. On Oct. 28, 1951, she was married to Duane Braaten at Big Timber. They ranched east of town until 1972 when they moved to Big Timber and purchased the Gamble Store. Mrs. Braaten was a member of the Big Timber Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Duane (Diane) Tronrud, Susie Braaten and Judy Braaten, all of Big Timber; three brothers John Aalgaard and Harold Aalgaard, both of Billings and Thelmer Aalgaard, Mountain View, CA.; two sisters Mrs. Benton (Agnes) Braaten, Billings and Mrs. Gertrude Anderson; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. The Rev. Eugene Nilsen of the Big Timber Lutheran Church officiated at the 2pm services at the Lowry Funeral Home. Organist was Mrs. David Roys and soloist was David Roys. Casket Bearers were Ray Esp, Jack Halverson, Harold Rue, Steve Johnson, Carl Mosness and Irvin Elgen. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery.
