Description	:	Mrs. Phipps, Georgianna (Geidner) was born August 30, 1847 in Como, Whiteside County, Illinois where she grew to woman- hood, and died at her home in Whiting, October 10, 1911, aged 64 years, 1 month and ten days. Read More	Mrs. Phipps, Georgianna (Geidner) was born August 30, 1847 in Como, Whiteside County, Illinois where she grew to woman- hood, and died at her home in Whiting, October 10, 1911, aged 64 years, 1 month and ten days. She was married to George Phipps, February 10, 1864. To this union were born six children: W.G. of Sloan, Mrs. Charles Scoles of Mapleton, Charles Edward who died in his 16th year, Mrs. C.E. Davis of Whiting, Fred B. of Sioux City, and Mrs. J.N. Jackson of Woodsdale, Kansas. She is also survived by one brother and four sisters, all of whom reside at a distance. All of the children were present for the funeral services with the exception of the youngest daughter who resides in Kansas. All who knew her because of her sunny disposition and her beautiful womanly character loved Mrs. Phipps. She was a devoted mother and time cannot remove the grief in the hearts of her children. "Gone beyond the Gladsome River Only left us by the way. Gone beyond the night forever, Only gone to Endless Day." Funeral services over the remains were conducted from the late home, on Thursday afternoon, October 12th being in charge of A.R. Heaps. Mrs. A.R. Heaps and Miss Chloe Rains sang appropriate songs, and the pallbearers were Will C. Whiting, C.L. Persinger, W. McBeath, D.A. Carter, George Brooks and E.J. Smith. Following the funeral services, the remains were brought to the Whiting Cemetery where they were laid to rest beside those of her husband who preceded her by just two years and three days.
