Taylor, son of Robert Delmont and Annie Melia Nelson Taylor, was born January 18, 1915, in Montgomery County, Iowa, and passed away Thursday, May 22, 1986, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Taylor was married to Lola Schuler on October 12, 1940, and they farmed west of Grant until moving into town in 1972. Taylor, son of Robert Delmont and Annie Melia Nelson Taylor, was born January 18, 1915, in Montgomery County, Iowa, and passed away Thursday, May 22, 1986, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Taylor was married to Lola Schuler on October 12, 1940, and they farmed west of Grant until moving into town in 1972. He was a member of the Grant United Methodist Church and served as a trustee, was on the Grant School Board, was a Town Council member, and a long time member of the Farm Bureau. He is survived by two sons, Glenn of Elliott and Clyde of Griswold, and two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Donna) Pelzer of Griswold and Twila McGann of Elliott, twelve grandchildren, three brothers, Stanley of Grant, Joe of Falls City, Nebraska, and Wayne of Auburn, California, and three sisters, Mrs. Roy (Dora) Kearney of Massena, Mrs. Evelyn Schuler of Fairmont, Minnesota, and Mrs. Lela Bass of Atlantic, Iowa, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife on April 3, 1978, his parents, four brothers, Ernie, Wesley, Seymour, and Lloyd, and two sisters, Lenora Squier and Myrtle Taylor. Final resting place: Grant, Iowa Cemetery.
