Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Osthus Funeral Home in De Smet. Geraldine Mae Sprang was born Dec. 12, 1921, to Elzo and Ruth (Stemple) Sprang at Spirit Lake. She worked for many new mothers and farm wives in the area and for a grocery store in Bancroft until her marriage to Lester Wubenna Sept. 9, 1941. They farmed in the Spirit Lake, Manchester and Bancroft area. They moved to De Smet in 1997 and he died in 2001. She was a lifelong member of Spirit Lake Presbyterian Church and the ladies aid, and a member of the Lively Lakers Homemakers Club. She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Jack) Carter of Grand Forks, N.D., and Judy (Cliff) Poppen of De Smet; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
