Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Iowa. Geralene Joyce Coppess was born April 3, 1932, on the family farm in Cedar County, the daughter of Harlan and Erhmel (Fairley) Coppess. She attended school in Clarence. She married Casper Ilsley Robinson on May 28, 1948, at the Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsville. Together they farmed the Coppess family farm north of Mechanicsville, until retiring to Anamosa in 1993. Casper preceded her in death on July 19, 2017. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Farm Bureau and was active in the Iowa Cattlewomen and the American National Cattlewomen Association, where she served as an officer or committee chairman for over 25 years. She enjoyed doing hand work and crafts of many types, cross stitched, pieced quilts for her family, paint on china and dolls and attending her son's and grandchildren's school activities. Surviving are three sons, Wayne (Donna) Robinson, Carl (Cheryl) Robinson and David (Deb) Robinson, all of Mechanicsville; six grandchildren, Kim Decker, Tara Grosbach, Mike Robinson, Randy Robinson, Adrienne Driscoll and Holly Robinson; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lee (Joyce) Coppess of Stanwood and Larry (Marlene) Coppess of Clarence. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Fry Funeral Home
