She was 82 years of age. The daughter of Charles and Anna Mae Cogswell Diehm, she was born near Parker on June 27 1891. She grew up in the Parker community and attended Liberty School. Mrs. Day was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Osawatomie, where she attended regularly until her recent illness. On October 26, 1909 she was married to Johnnie Day at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Day celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on October 26, 1973, and had lived on the Day home place their entire married life. Surviving are her husband of the home; one son, Clyde Day of Beagle and two brothers, Otis Diehm of Parker and Clifford Diehm of Osawatomie. The Rev. Homer Rule officiated at the funeral services with organ selections provided by Mrs. Ida Phares. Pallbearers were Willard Smith, Ernest Cook, Harry Winters, LaMont Weaver, Challous Hay and Henry Sprengel.
