Description	:	Mrs. Frank Short passed away at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha Tuesday evening. Taken ill recently she went to the hospital at Omaha where it was found that her condition was extremely serious. Last week it became evident that restorative efforts would fail and the children were sent for. Mr. Short had been in Omaha for several days. Gertrude Clara Moore was born at Schuyler, Nebraska, on November 15th, 1901 and passed away at the Methodist hospital in Omaha October 6, 1931, aged 29 years, 10 months and 21 days. In 1910 Miss Moore with her parents came to a farm near Albion where she grew to womanhood. In 1916 she was united in marriage to Frank M. Short at Albion. This union was blessed with three children, all of whom are living and at home. They are Eugene Roy, Dorothy Agnes and Junior Frank. Mr. and Mrs. Short have continuously made their home in the same neighborhood west of Albion where they are loved and respected. In addition to the above children, Mrs. Short is survived by her husband, father, mother and one brother, Ray D. Moore of Grand Island, and two sisters, Mrs. M. L. Biggs of Schuyler and Mrs. Hans Kerr of Albion. Mrs. Short was of a happy, lovable disposition, and will be much missed in the home and community, out of which she has been taken. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Albion at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 8th and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. Oscar Creech, who was called from the Baptist convention at Omaha for this duty. Interment was in the beautiful Rose Hill cemetery. (Albion Weekly News – Albion, Nebraska – October 8, 1931)
