Rev. Robert Kasperson officiated at the services and burial was in the Bloomington cemetery. Mrs. Norbeck was born at Fort Thompson April 3, 1881. The family later moved to Charles Mix county and she spent most of her life in this community. She was married in 1901 to Enoch Norbeck who preceded her in death in January, 1946. Mrs. Norbeck is survived by five daughters, Misses Edith and Myrtle and mrs. Samuel Sabin of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Suart E. White of St. Louis, Mo., and Miss Lorene of Tokyo, Japan; two sons, Glen and Neal, both of Platte, nine grandchildren, a sister, Miss Emma Severson of Sioux City, and three brothers, Andrew of Osakis, Minn., Joe of Oaks, N.D., and Sam of Platte. Mrs. Norbeck was prominent in the activities of the Ladies Aid and LD.R. of the Lutheran church, of which she was a life-long member, and was noted for being a homemaker and good neighbor. ***Daughter of Severt Severson and Marie Fossom Severson. - 1900 Federal Census, Platte, Charles Mix County SD as daughter of Severt and Marie Severson. - 1910 Federal Census, Platte Ward 3, Charles Mix SD, as wife of Enoch Norbeck. - 1920 Federal Census, Platte City, Charles Mix South Dakota, wife of Enoch Norbeck.
