Description	:	Gertrude Happy was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Plos Happy. When she was fourteen hears old she moved to Ulster County, New York . She was married to Alonzo D Furgeson, with whom she came to Iowa, arriving at Davenport, Iowa in 1870. To this union two children were born; Eugene and Adelaide. In 1876 she married William Braden Crawford, who passed away in 1904. She joined the Methodist church when she was a young laady and was a thorough and consistent member to the end. She was faithful in attendance until sickness prevented... Read More	Gertrude Happy was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Plos Happy. She was a member of the Relief Corpse and of the Rebekah Lodge. She was an invalid for several years before her death and the end came as a relief to her suffering althought huan hands did all possible to care for her. She was highly respected in the various communities where she lived and also in and near Brooklyn where she spent so many years of her life. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church with Rev A M Smith in charge and Rev Koons of the Presbyterian Church led in prayer.. Burial was made in the Brooklyn IOOF Cemetery
