Description	:	The funeral for Irene Poehls, 83, of Rugby, formerly of Fargo and Leeds, was held Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds. Interment will be in the Leeds Cemetery in the spring. She died Feb. 22, 2003 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby. Pastor Richard Budd officiated. Karen Anderson was organist. Vocalists were Sandra and Rick Knoke and Cara Mitzel. Casket bearers were Zeb, Gabe and Greg Haney, Arlen and David Anderson and Kenneth and Dennis Follman. The Nelson Funeral Home of Leeds was in charge of arrangements. The Nelson Funeral Home of Leeds was in charge of arrangements. Gertrude Irene Conway was born April 24, 1919 in Rugby to John and Sophie Oeffner Conway. She was raised near Leeds. She graduated from Leeds High School and attended Fargo Business College and beauty school before working as a hairdresser in Fargo. She owned and operated the Curlette Beauty Shop in downtown Fargo. She later moved to Leeds and then to Rugby. Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie (Mrs. James) Haney of Moorhead, Minn.; three grandsons; a brother and sister-in-law, John Jr. and Marilyn Conway of Leeds; and a sister and brother-in-law, Avis and Sanfrid Anderson of Leeds. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Doris Follman and Ardys Kleinsasser.
