Read More	Obituary From Shaul Cemetery’s Files: OTTUMWA – Gertrude V. Barnhart, 87, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., died May 22, 2001, in Havasu Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Agency to Ethel and Ahirum [sic] Box. Reared in Ottumwa, she moved to Des Moines after her marriage to Jake Barnhart. While living in Iowa, she was a seamstress, owner of a variety store, fabric shop and restaurant in Des Moines, Hartford and Carlisle. She later moved to Arizona, settling in Lake Havasu City for the past 18 years. She attended Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Surviving are two daughters, Joyce McCloud of Lake Havasu City and Janet Steinway of Houston, Texas; a sister, Lucille Walton of Conroe, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Kenneth; two sisters, Maye and Mildred; and a brother, Kenneth. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Shaul Cemetery, Ottumwa. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Richardson Funeral Home, Carlisle. Memorials may be made to Hartford Community Presbyterian Church.
