Description	:	Gifford Vernon Grimm Conquerall Bank - The death occurred on July 5, 1987 of Gifford Vernon Grimm, 98, at Shoreham Village Nursing home, Chester. Although in failing health for some time, his passing was sudden. Born in Springfield, Anna. Co., he was the son of the late John and Sarah (Meisner) Grimm. In his early years he was a surveyor with the C.P.R. in Kenora, Ont., later returning to N.S. he worked with the C.N.R., surveying the rail line from Dartmouth to Musquodoboit Harbour. After serveral years he returned to his home and worked with the ""Springfield Trading Co."", later managing the general store for 35 years. In 1974 he and son Maxwell moved to Conquerall Bank. He is survived by two sons Maxwell, Conquerall Bank; and John, Sprinfield; also by one granddaughter, Carol Ann Jennings, Halifax; and one great granddaughter Jeannine Jennings; also a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Margaret Smith of Chezzetcook, and by eight sisters, Bertha, Theresa, Cora, Nettie, Effie, Lottie, Flora and Nellie in infancy. The body rested at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany, from where funeral services were held on July 8, 1987, conducted by Rev. David Keith of Sprinfield Baptist church. Burial was in Springfield Baptist Cemetery, and pallbearers were Gordon Schnare, Leroy Naugler, Ronald Veinot, Russell Conrad, Laurie Charlton and Fletcher Varner." With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse
