He was born June 17, 1935, in Prosser, WA to Mr. & Mrs. Conrad Gordon (Mary Morris.) After completion of Wenatchee High School, Gilbert worked at various jobs in the Wenatchee area. He worked at the Wenatchee Grill for several years and then moved to Seattle to work as a cook. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany for many years, then was in the Reserves for eight years. Gilbert worked for 13-1/2 years at Wells & Wade, then went to work for Alcoa and retired in 1999, after 26 years. Gilbert married Pamela Williams on November 26, 1971, they just celebrated 34 years of marriage. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 half-brothers; and Loren Morris Gordon, brother and special friend. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Pamela Gordon; three children, LeAnn (Richard) Dousett and their sons, Andrew and Blake of Vashon Island, WA, Adam Gordon of Wenatchee, Megan (Andy) Alaniz and their daughter, Cassie, a special joy of his life; brothers, George Gordon, Victor (Farolyn) Gordon, Alfred (Ann) Gordon, all of Wenatchee; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Wenatchee Cemetery, followed by a 1:00 Celebration of Life Service at Eastmont Baptist Church, 330 N. Lyle, East Wenatchee. Memorials can be made to the Eastmont Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements provided by Betts Funeral Home.
