Mrs. Genoble was born in Union County, Aug. 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Samuel Ratchford Holcombe and Irene Fowler Holcombe. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Union. Mrs. Genoble attended Kelly Pinckney High School and was a graduate of Union High School and Cecil's Business College, and received an associate degree in bussiness from the University of South Carolina in Union. She was a licensed funeral director and was business manger and co-owner of the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons and daughter-in-law, Richard A. "Butch" Genoble and Janet C. Genoble of Spartanburg, and Thomas H. and Mary Pacolette Genoble of Union; a sister, Faye Holcombe Williamson of Whitmire; a brother and his wife, Billy Eugene Holcombe and Betty Jo Holcombe; and a sister-in-law, Sybil Warren Holcombe, all of Union; five grandchildren, Richard A. Genoble Jr. of Charleston, Blakely C. Genoble of Spartanburg and Elizabeth Pacolette Genoble, Hayden Allan Genoble and Margaret Grace Genoble all of Union; a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Genoble was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Genoble; and a brother, August Fowler Holcombe. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at the S. R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jerry Lawson. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers will be Employees and Staff of Holcombe Funeral Home. The body will remain at the funeral home. The family is at 310 W. South St., Union. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Union, SC 29379 or to a charity of one's choice. The S. R. Holcombe Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
