Then Alice on October 13, 1938 - and Bertha on December 17, 1939. Next followed the birth of three boys: ~ John born June 5, 1941 ~ George born June 20, 1942 ~ Jake (Jacob) November 20, 1943 One more daughter Gladys was born February 10, 1945, and then again three more sons to complete the family. All the children, with exception of the last three boys, were born at home: ~ Cor (Cornelius) born September 16, 1946 ~ Andy (Andrew) born January 11, 1948 ~ Ken (Kenneth) born September 21, 1950 As they grew up and married, nine of the Strydhorst children would live and farm in Neerlandia. In 1968 Henry sold his farm to son Jake, and continued to live there until 1973, before eventually moving to the hamlet of Neerlandia.
