Description	:	John was born Johannes Kippers at the last day of 1907 in the country village of Nijverdal, quarter B of the municipality Hellendoorn, located in the eastern part of the Netherlands, the third child and son of Hendrik Kippers (24 years old, barber) and Jennigje Bruins. Shortly after their arrival in Edmonton, all the Kippers children got sick with scarlet fever.
