Description	:	Services for Gladys Rubena Kruse were held Monday, December 8, 1969 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Martin Haerther officiating. Mrs. Daryl Kruse, accompanied by Mrs. Kirk Donelson, sang "Rock of Ages" and "In the Garden." Caring for the flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lark and Mr. and Mrs. Bernhardt Peters. Pallbearers were Walter Gragert, John Hasstedt, Herbert Peterson, Reuben Peterson, Art Stamp and Raymond Swanson. Mrs. Gladys Rubena Engleen Kruse was born January 26, 1906 in the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Engleen in Marcy Township. She was baptized May 1, 1906 at Swede Valley Lutheran Church and was confirmed May 21, 1921 in Immanuel Lutheran Church. June 6, 1928 she was united in marriage with Eddie Kruse. Five children were born to this union; twin daughters, Bonita and Benita, Sharon, Dennis, and Charlene. Friday morning, December 5, she died suddenly at the Boone County Hospital at the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 9 days. She is survived by her husband, Eddie, three daughters, Mrs. Bonita Kinsbury, of Luther, Mrs. Sharon Sharp of Ogden, and Mrs. Charlene Brice of St. Charles, MO., eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
