An employee of the Maytag Co. for 31 years, he retired in 1972. Mr. Jenkins was a member of the First Christian Church, Moose Lodge and UAW, Local 997, Retirees Union. Funeral services for Glen A. Elder Glen Oswalt of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, will conduct services. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, a son, a daughter both of Newton;, five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers Jack Roberts of Albion, Mich., and Robert Roberts of Benbrook, Tx., and three sisters, Leona (Mrs. Avery) Humes of Newton, Lillian (Mrs. John) Clement of Altoona and Irene Thompson of San Bernadino, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. An obituary was published in the Newton Daily News, Newton, IA newspaper.
