Description	:	Glen Andrew Johnson, son of Harry A. and Effie R. Johnson, was born at the family home south of Grafton, Neb., the oldest of seven children. He departed this life suddenly, following a heart attack at his home in Geneva, March 18, 1954, at the age of 43 years, 3 months and 27 days. Johnson, was born at the family home south of Grafton, Neb., the oldest of seven children. He departed this life suddenly, following a heart attack at his home in Geneva, March 18, 1954, at the age of 43 years, 3 months and 27 days. At an early age he moved to Chelsea with his parents and started to school there. When nine years old the family moved to Ohiowa, where he grew to manhood. May 18, 1933, he was united in marriage to Edna Clark of Geneva. They lived in Ohiowa for two years, then moved to Geneva where he worked at various jobs. The last five years he was employed as city water commissioner. He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters, Vada, in infancy, and Mrs. Nellie Cole, and an infant son, Ira Lee. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife; one daughter, Florence, 15; three sons, Glen Jr., 20, Robert, 18, and James 13, his mother, Mrs. Effie Johnson of Halsey, Neb.; one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Leta) Thome of Rock Falls, Ill.; three brothers, Raymond of Rock Falls, Ill., Ira of Merna, Neb., and Donald of Sterling, Ill.; and many other relatives and friends. Glen was a capable and industrious city employee. He was accommodating to everyone he served, and thus he made many friends. He was performing his usual duties the day before he was stricken, and his death was a great shock. All city officials and employees attended the service in a body. The funeral was held at the Geneva Congregational Church at 2 p.m., Monday, March 22nd, with Rev. L. E. Werner officiating. Mrs. Jerry Pickerell was soloist, with Mrs. Willard Foster at the organ. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal March 25th, 1954 page 1.
