Description	:	Glen Carr, 73, of rural Batavia, died at 6:20 am Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at Wapello/Davis Counties Hospice House, Ottumwa. He was born Jan. 27, 1937, near Douds to Clyde and Edna Steele Carr. He grew up in the Douds-Libertyville area, graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955, farmed near Douds and Batavia and with Roger Franklin near Eldon, had worked for Libertyville Co-op and drove a truck for Ben Shinn Trucking Co., Eddyville. Surviving are a daughter, Cathy Schaus(Steve)of Elk Grove, Ill.; two sons, Michael Carr(Denise)of Fairfield and Mitchell Carr of Libertyville; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five great-grandsons; two brothers, his twin, Gene Carr of Quincy, Ill., and Earl Carr of Fairfield; a sister, Jo Ann Gilliland(Allan)of Ottumwa; other relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death. Graveside services will be at 10:30 am Thursday in Fell Cemetery southwest of Libertyville; Rev. Ann Donat officiating. Visitation will open at 3 pm Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with family present from 4-6 pm. Memorials to Hospice of Wapello/Davis Counties.
