These services were held at Connor chapel and in accordance with the wish of the deceased was made as unostentatious and plain as possible. The chapel was filled with friends and admirers of the deceased. The remains were laid to rest beside in the Choteau cemetery beside those of his brother, Guyer, who passed away fifteen years ago while attending school at the Montana State College at Bozeman. Glen was born at Dupuyer Nov. 25, 1900, making him 29 years and one day old at the time of his death. He resided with his parents on a ranch near Dupuyer until the family moved to Choteau where Mr. Cowgill was instrumental in laying out the Cowgill addition to the city. Glen grew to manhood here and received his education in the Choteau public schools. Later he attended the Y.M.C.A. school in Seattle and an automobile school in Missouri. He early exhibited a fondness of the out of doors, especially the mountain country, and engaged in occupations which brought him in contact with the mountains and nature he loved. He found ready employment on the Lewis and Clark national forest, and during summer months for the past several years he held positions as lookout, guard and foreman of trail and road construction crews. Several years ago he was injured in an accident while hunting, and physicians ascribed this as one of the causes which brought on the disease which resulted in his death. He began the season this year in the employment of the forest service but was not able to continue his duties very long on account of poor health. It was thought that a lower and drier climate might do him good, and he, in company with his inseparable friend, Freeman Page, left by auto for Arizona, where he remained until the end came. Immediate surviving relatives are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Cowgill, who live at Sommers, and a brother, Lester, of New York City. Mr. and Mrs. Cowgill arrived in Great Falls Friday and were brought to Choteau by Senator T.O. Larson. The body reached Choteau Saturday.
