He was the son of George and the late Emma Rother. He drowned in the Cedar River east of Spalding Tuesday night September 2, 1969. Rother, 32, was born April 28, 1937 at Wolbach. He was the son of George and the late Emma Rother. He drowned in the Cedar River east of Spalding Tuesday night September 2, 1969. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was graduated from the Wolbach High School in 1956. He spent most of his time working on farms and on Road Construction. During the period of construction on the Sherman Dam, he was employed by the Reclamation Bureau. The last two years he had been making his home at the Darl Studley farm. He was called "Casey" by most of his friends. Preceding him in death were he mother and a sister, Lucille. He leaves to mourn his passing, his father George Rother; two brothers, Frank and Harold, who reside at the home place; one sister, Mrs. Fern Sadd of Buffalo, Iowa; and two nieces and one nephew; besides many other relatives and friends.
