Description	:	GLEN HOUDESHELDT OF CINCINNATI IS TAKEN BY DEATH Glen Houdesheldt, 55, long time resident of Cincinnati, passed away at his home in Cincinnati Friday evening, March 28, after suffering a stroke earlier in the evening. Mr. Houdesheldt had been in ill health for quite some time. Surviving are his wife and two daughters, Lucille and Jorene, both at home, and two brothers, Paul of Des Moines and Hollie of Portland, Ore., besides a host of other relatives. Mr. Houdesheldt had been in ill health for quite some time. Surviving are his wife and two daughters, Lucille and Jorene, both at home, and two brothers, Paul of Des Moines and Hollie of Portland, Ore., besides a host of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon from the Christian church in Cincinnati at 2 p.m. with Rev. Clifford Hart officiating. Members of the VFW Post 526, of which Mr. Houdesheldt was a member, will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the cemetery at Cincinnati. Mr. Houdesheldt has been a life-long resident of Cincinnati, and his many friends there are deeply grieved at his passing. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family. Clifford Hart officiated. Mrs. Bonnie Staley played the piano, with the men's chorus singing "Going Down the Valley", "The Old Rugged Cross", and "In the Garden", by request. Pallbearers were Centerville Post 526 and was under military rites. Flower girls were Darlene Bates, Irma Bitner and Wanda Milner. Short military services were conducted at the cemetery. Burial was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Out of town relatives were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Conger of Ottumwa, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Houdesheldt of Des Moines, Mrs. May Hamm of Centerville, David Hamm of Numa, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Houdesheldt of Unionville, Mo., and other relatives and friends. Sympathy of the entire community is extended to Mrs. Houdesheldt, the daughters, and the entire family at this time.
