Description	:	Family, relatives,and friends paid their respects to Glen Kermit Gedstad, 65, who died Thursday, May 5, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls. Mr Gedstad's death was attributed to complications from heart surgery he underwent the preceding day. Mr. Gedstad was born on a farm southeast of Lennox, the son of Arthur and Mrytle (Fodness) Gedstad. He attended rural school and grew up in that area, graduating from Lennox High School in 1947. Mr Gedstad's death was attributed to complications from heart surgery he underwent the preceding day. Mr. Gedstad was born on a farm southeast of Lennox, the son of Arthur and Mrytle (Fodness) Gedstad. He attended rural school and grew up in that area, graduating from Lennox High School in 1947. He then attended Nettleton Business College, and upon graduation was employed by Mattheis Supply in Lennox; the J.I. Case Company office in Sioux Falls; was associated with the National Bank of South Dakota. He was married to Marcene Smit on Aug. 10, 1954, in the Bethel Reformed Church, Davis, SD., and the couple took up their residence at Sioux Falls at that time, where he began his banking career with National Bank of South Dakota. Mr. Gedstad was preceded in death by his father, on May 3, 1945; his mother, on Mar. 29, 1990; and his step-father, Harvey Eichmeier, on Jan. 8, 1975. He attained the age of 65 years, one month and 24 days. Among his survivors are the following: his widow, Marcene; his son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Karen Gedstad of Mitchell; his sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Merlyn Muller, rural Worthing, and a number of other relatives.
