Description	:	Glenn Lyal "Bubba" Ray, 50, husband of Ruthie Fertitta Ray, died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Henry A. Ray and Shirley Bryant. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. He was a 1975 graduate of Hillcrest High School and was an employee of the city of Sumter until his health forced him to retire. Read More	Glenn Lyal "Bubba" Ray, 50, husband of Ruthie Fertitta Ray, died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Henry A. Ray and Shirley Bryant. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. He was a 1975 graduate of Hillcrest High School and was an employee of the city of Sumter until his health forced him to retire. Bubba was also a musician and will always be known for his love of music and "The Bubba Band." He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a member of Hillside Hunting Club. Survivors besides his loving wife and his parents of Sumter include three sons, Brad Ray, Brandon Ray and Keith Ray, all of the home; one granddaughter, Ashlyn Ray; four brothers, Buck Ray and his wife, Ashley, of Columbia, Gary Ray of Dalzell, Ricky Ray and Gil Ray and his wife, Sarah, all of Sumter; four sisters, Becky Anderson and her husband, Greg, of Sumter, Janice Cotton and her husband, Richard, of Dalzell, Tammy Stevens and her husband, Gary, and Kim Ray, all of Sumter; a grandmother, Ruth Gross of Tampa, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Long Branch Baptist Church with Dr. Carroll Waddell and the Rev. Sim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kinney, Joe Cannarella, Ben Andrews, Denny Ray, David Burns, John Skimelski and Bob Cody. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hillside Hunting Club, Joe Fohner, Bobby Schmidt and Leonard Cody.
