Description	:	Funeral services for Glenn Waring, Orchard, were held, Friday, Feb. 28, 1992, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Orchard. The Rev. Alan Eppen officiated. Burial was in the Hope Enterprise Cemetery at rural Orchard. Arrangements were made by Ashburn Funeral Homes, Inc. Glenn grew up in the Middlebranch farming community and was educated in rural Holt County and Page High School. He married Elsie Scheer on June 22, 1934 at Yankton SD. He moved to the Venus area in 1936. There he was a telephone lineman and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Venus and was on the church boards. In 1959, he moved to Orchard. He worked for Asch Lumber and Holliday Implement until retirement in 1972. Two children were born to his first marriage; Marlene and Kevin. Glenn also operated the theatre in Orchard from 1959 to the late 1960s. Glenn married Beulah Rhoades Berney at Orchard. He is survived by his wife Beulah of Orchard; 1 son, Kevin and wife Joan of Central City; one daughter, Mrs. Bud (Marlene) Godel of Orchard; 1 brother, Gerald of O'Neill; 1 sister, Maxine Pease of Lincoln; step-children, Sandra and husband Tom Spry of San Diego CA, Janice and husband Tom Twibell, Loveland CO; Kenneth and wife Nancy Berney of Battle Creek; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, 3 brothers, and one sister.
