Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will follow the luncheon at Calvary Cemetery. He graduated from Valley City High School and attended Valley City State Teachers College. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Glenn married Joan Ertelt on August 18, 1956 in Valley City, ND. The couple resided in Valley City, ND; Oakes, ND; Pipestone, MN and settled in Webster City, IA. Glenn was a broadcaster from 1951 through 2000. He started his radio career in Valley City, ND and Oakes, ND. He ended his career at his flagship station KQWC in Webster City. He then managed, owned or operated many radio stations in the midwest during his time. (KLOH in Pipestone, MN -- KSIB in Creston, IA -- WKEI in Kewanee, IL -- KQIS in Clarinda, IA -- KDOM in Windom, MN -- KQWC in Webster City, IA -- KWBG in Boone, IA -- KLRX in Ames, IA) Glenn was proud to call Webster City home. He was well known for his community service and his radio personality as GO on The Go. He was quick with a joke. His humor and personality could win over any audience. Glenn is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Pauline (Bill) Niebur of Des Moines, IA, Eva (Tom) Powers of Webster City, IA, Glenn (Cindy) Olson of Avon, CT, Roxane (Todd) Hollosi of Atlanta, GA, Bradley (Kristin) Olson of Des Moines, IA, Rodney Olson of Webster City, IA; grandchildren, Christopher and Alex Niebur, Kristine Berglund, Ashton Jacobson, Rachel Powers, Collin and Spencer Olson, Grant and Parker Hollosi, Katie and Emily Olson; and sister, Joyce (Kenny) Koehn of Devils Lake, ND. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Selk. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Webster City Rotary, Knights of Columbus and the Broadcasters Association. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Webster City Rotary Meals on Wheels Program at P.O. Box 265, Webster City, IA 50595.
