Description	:	Glenn Proctor Glenn W. Proctor, 95, of Ottumwa, died September 25, 2018 at home. He was born August 3, 1923 in Ottumwa to Wallace and Lottie Swaim Proctor. He married Jean Grinstead on October 4, 1942. A 1941 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Glenn was a veteran of WWII serving in Guam, Leyte, and Okinawa. He was co-owner and operator of Proctor Standard Service station for over 35 years, retiring in 1989. Proctor, 95, of Ottumwa, died September 25, 2018 at home. He was born August 3, 1923 in Ottumwa to Wallace and Lottie Swaim Proctor. He married Jean Grinstead on October 4, 1942. Surviving is his wife, Jean; his children, Dennis (Judy) Proctor of Littleton, CO, Donnie (Barbara) Proctor of Norwalk, Deborah Durrah of Farmington, MN and Dusty Proctor of Ottumwa; daughter-in-law Vicki Proctor of Ottumwa; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Moore of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by sons, Dickie Proctor and infant David Proctor; brothers, Kenneth, Roy, Esta and William Proctor and an infant sister. His body has been cremated. Military services will be conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion at 4 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at Reece Funeral Home, followed by the family greeting friends. A Masonic service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice serving Davis & Wapello Counties or Shriners Hospitals for Children in Minneapolis, MN. Published on September 26, 2018
