A lifelong resident of the Barss Corner area, her sudden passing came as a shock to a host of relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters at home, Charmaine, 7 years and Christine, 4 years; also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Burns of Barss Corner. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters at home, Charmaine, 7 years and Christine, 4 years; also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Burns of Barss Corner. Also surviving are three sisters, Elsie (Mrs. Thomas Gilbert), Nashwaaksis, New Brunswick; Pearle (Mrs. Guy Tufts), Hemford; Virginia (Mrs. Douglas McKean), Pinehurst; and four brothers, Donald, Kentville; Wesley and Harold, Barss Corner; and Herbert, Vogler's Cove. One brother, Lorimer, predeceased her eight years ago. The funeral service was held on Sunday afternoon, June 28, at 1:30 p.m. from Langille's Funeral Home with Rev. Carrol Armstrong officiating. The hymns sung were "Unto The Hills" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." The pall bearers were Ross Veinot, Douglas Morton, Roland Burns, Homer Varner, Loran Baker, and Herbert Burns.
