She was born Sept. 21, 1896 at Rockville, Mo., and came to Beaverhead County in 1908 with her family, attending local schools and graduating from Beaverhead County High School. She was born Sept. 21, 1896 at Rockville, Mo., and came to Beaverhead County in 1908 with her family, attending local schools and graduating from Beaverhead County High School. Following graduation she was employed for a few months with the Thomas Bookstore in Dillon, then entered a career as a legal secretary, which she followed until retirement in 1970. Miss Yonce was employed by the firm of Rodgers and Gilbert, staying with the firm for 56 years, working with Henry G. Rodgers, who later became judge of the Fifth Judicial District; W. G. Gilbert, T. E. Gilbert, Theodore F. McFadden, W. G. Gilbert Jr., and W. G. Gilbert III. Her professional accomplishments included serving as secretary of the West Side Canal Company and as secreatary to the Beaverhead County attorney during the tenures in office of T. E. Gilbert, W. G. Gilbert and W. G. Gilbert, Jr. She was regarded by members of the legal profession as one of the finest legal secretaries in the state of Montana. She was an ardent golfer, and was one of the original members of the Beaverhead Country Club, being instrumental in development of that organization. Miss Yonce was a member of the Grace Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Mary Adams of Appleton City, Mo., and Mrs. Dixie Ripley of Dillon. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock form the Brundage Chapel with Rev. James Dickinson officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
