Gloria grew up and attended school in Holdrege. She moved to Kearney when she was 16. She was married to Robert Turner in Holdrege on Jan. 15, 1953. They owned and operated Turner's Body Shop in Kearney. She was the bookkeeper in the business and worked up to the time of her death. Gloria was a member of First Lutheran Church, former member of the DOES, did volunteer work at Good Samaritan Hospital and a member of the Red Hats. She also bowled 50 consecutive years in the state bowling tournament. Gloria also enjoyed playing dominos, holiday crafts, fishing, hunting, crocheting and playing in various card clubs.
