Description	:	Glorian Jacobsen Eggers, 83, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Highline Care Center in East Wenatchee, following an extended illness. Glorian was a long time Withrow-Waterville resident. She was born on March 10, 1925, at Waterville. She grew up on the family farm with her parents, Arnold and Lorna Jacobsen. Glorian was a long time Withrow-Waterville resident. She was born on March 10, 1925, at Waterville. She grew up on the family farm with her parents, Arnold and Lorna Jacobsen. She was the youngest of four siblings. She attended rural grade school and graduated from Withrow High School. In 1941, Glorian was Princess Withrow. She lived most of her life in the Withrow-Waterville area, moving in 2002, to Hearthstone Cottage in East Wenatchee. After high school, Glorian worked at the Douglas County Courthouse in Waterville. On October 25, 1947, she married Clarence Eggers, at Douglas Lutheran Church, in Douglas, WA. They lived in Waterville, while Clarence farmed near Farmer, WA. Glorian stayed home to help with farm errands, cook harvest meals and take care of the house and her family. Glorian was very active in her church and community. She served as Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She was a member of monthly Bible study groups, the choir and the church council. In the early 1960's, she helped on the interior design committee of United Lutheran Church. She was a youth 4-H group leader for many years. She volunteered for the Election Board, many local Red Cross blood drives and the Arts Department of the NCW Fair. She was also an active member of the Douglas County Historical Society. Glorian had many creative talents, interests and hobbies. She enjoyed watercolor painting, cooking and baking, counted-cross stitch, quilting, wheat weaving, photography, collecting and researching antique glass and traveling. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. She loved nature and being near the ocean or in the mountains. Glorian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Galen and Lyn Eggers of East Wenatchee, WA and daughter and son-in-law, Norene and Jon Erlandson of Richland, WA; her brother and sister-in-law, Adelbert and Alice Jacobsen of Waterville, WA; six grandchildren, Jeff Eggers, Christine (Richard) Leyva, Kevin Eggers, Kerry Eggers, Sara Eggers and Katie Eggers; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; two step-grandchildren, Jon (Kellie) Erlandson, Jr. and Lara (Phillip) Naugle; and five step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Lorna Jacobsen; her husband, Clarence; her daughter, Jolie; her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Ernie Fox; and her sister, Effie Huebregtsie. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. at Douglas Lutheran Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at United Lutheran Church, in Waterville, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Lawrence Lystig officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to United Lutheran Church, Waterville Ambulance Fund or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been made through Waterville Funeral Home.
