Yohe, died at her late residence in Des Moines County, Iowa, Nov. 2, 1902. She was born at Elizabeth, Allegheny county, Pa., March 22nd, 1828. She reached the age of 74 years, 7 months and 10 days. Yohe, died at her late residence in Des Moines County, Iowa, Nov. 2, 1902. She was born at Elizabeth, Allegheny county, Pa., March 22nd, 1828. She reached the age of 74 years, 7 months and 10 days. She was united in marriage to A. S. Yohe March the 8th, 1849. This relation existed for more than 53 years before it was severed by death. To them were born 7 children, J. C. E. Yohe, Morning Sun; Edna Selser, Red Oak; Jennie Giffin, North Platte, Neb.; Celia Hays, Burlington; Lizzie Yohe died in infancy; P. A. Yohe, Morning Sun; H. U. Yohe, Marion, Ill. She and her husband coming westward from Pennsylvania in 1861 selected this portion of Iowa for their home, and have been residents of this community for more than 41 years. In early life she made profession of her faith in Jesus Christ, and in her religious life and experience she seemed not to grow old: Her Christian life impressed itself upon her household, and upon the entire circle of her acquaintances. She carried religion into her daily living and she realized that the sentiment which the Christian often sings is true: "Religion bears our spirits up, While we expect that blessed hope, The bright appearance of the Lord, And faith stands leaning on his word." The funeral occurred on Tuesday morning at the Presbyterian church and was attended by a large assembly of sorrowing relatives and friends. Her pastor directed the services. She was laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery. **************************************
