Description	:	Glyn R. Cook, 65, a longtime Chelan resident, died on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 1990, in Lake Chelan Community Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on Feb. 24, 1925, in Carver City, Okla., to Randolph and Willie (Henderson) Cook. He moved to the Chelan area in 1942. He was born on Feb. 24, 1925, in Carver City, Okla., to Randolph and Willie (Henderson) Cook. He moved to the Chelan area in 1942. He served in the Navy during World War II as a fireman on a destroyer. He married Zela Smith at Chelan on April 18, 1944. After his discharge, he worked in the fruit industry. Mr. Cook attended barber school in 1956 and went on to own and operate his own barbershop in Chelan until his retirement. He was a member of the Little Stone Church and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6853. He supervised and taught at the VFW rifle range for over 35 years. He was a member of the Chelan Falls Rod and Gun Club and coached youth baseball. Survivors include his wife, at home; one son, Michael, Chelan; one brother, Norman Cook, Chelan; one sister, Nola Joyner, Bridgeport; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
