Description	:	EDEN Goldie Cochran Pruitt, 97, of 1616 Mill Avenue in Eden, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Reidsville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, at First Baptist Church of Draper with burial to follow in Danview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 until 8 p.m., at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence. She loved the Lord and her family. Goldie retired from Fieldcrest Mills. She is survived by her sons, David Pruitt and wife, De, of Eden, Maurice Pruitt and wife, Becky, of Reidsville and Tommy Pruitt and wife, Gwen of Eden; daughter, Ginger Almond of the home; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Weddle; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Pruitt; daughter, Linda Pruitt; son-in-law, Craig Almond; brothers, Kermit, Virgil, and Curtis Cochran; sisters, Sylvia Squires and Lenora Salmons. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Draper, 1017 Fieldcrest Road, Eden, NC 27288 or to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
