Description	:	Goldie Toft, 87, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at the Douglas County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 30, at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Blooming Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Koehn Bros. Funeral Chapel in Corsica with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Toft was born February 14, 1920 to John and Clara (Wieczorek) Schrank in Douglas County, SD. She was baptized at Blooming Valley Church and confirmed at the Hillside Church. She attended school in Corsica, SD and graduated fro Corsica High School in 1937. She was united in marriage to John Toft on April 21, 1938 at the Blooming Valley Church. To this union a daughter was born, Norene. They farmed in Aurora and Douglas Counties. Goldie attended Blooming Valley Church and was a member of ALCA and taught Sunday School. After John died in January 1994, Goldie moved into Corsica and became a member of our Savior Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking, sewing, knitting, visiting and having coffee with neighbors when they came for eggs. Goldie died Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Douglas County Memorial Hospital in Armour, SD at the age of 87. She is survived by a sister, Oneith Asmussen and husband, Arlie of Clear lake, SD; her son-in-law, Bob Eggers of Corsica; 4 grandchildren: Pam Lauritsen and husband, Ron of Custer, SD; Cindy Whitaker and husband, Dave of Custer; Kim Eggers of Clear lake, SD; Brad Eggers and wife, Jessica of Rapid City, SD; 3 great-grandchildren: Goldie and Sam Whitaker and Katelyn Lauritsen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Norman and Earl Schrank and her daughter, Noreen Eggers. Courtesy of Travis Bolt
