Description	:	Goldie L. Balderson was born July 25, 1907, to Fred James and Phoebe Rebecca [Bailey] Balderson in Gage County, NE. She died at Prairie Vista Care Center in Holyoke, on Monday, August 30, 1999, at the age of 92. Goldie moved with her family to Holyoke in 1917. She finished school at the Plainview School north of Holyoke. She was united in marriage with Phillip O'Connor in 1927. To this union were born two children, Darrel Wayne and Betty Frances. She finished school at the Plainview School north of Holyoke. She was united in marriage with Phillip O'Connor in 1927. To this union were born two children, Darrel Wayne and Betty Frances. Her husband Phillip O'Connor died in 1933. In 1945, Goldie married Jesse Kettley, who passed away in 1971. She married William Schuman on September 18, 1973. Bill and Goldie made their home in Holyoke, moving to Prairie Vista Care shortly before Mrs. Schuman's death. Mrs. Schuman was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Phillip O'Connor and Jesse Kettley; three sisters and one brother. She is survived by her son, Darrel O'Connor and wife, Clara, of Holyoke; her daughter, Betty Stavropoulos and husband, Harry, of Alliance, NE; seven grandchildren, Linda Johnson of Fairfield, NE, Larry O'Connor of Brighton, Leonard O'Connor of Greeley, Jolene Kuhn of Lincoln, NE, Paul Stavropoulos of Alliance, NE, Marc Stavropoulos of Vernal, UT, and Colin Stavropoulos of Dodge City, KS; 10 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Goldie L. Schuman were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, at the First Christian Church in Holyoke. Interment followed at Holyoke Memorial Park. Reverend Jim Blake of the First Christian Church of Holyoke officiated. Holyoke Enterprise September 9, 1999
